Book 6 rumor cut |
Cinescape has produced a rumor about Book 6, which read:
"Our latest scooper claims to have an inside connection to a publishing company located in America (the name of which we will keep confidential to ensure that we know who our scooper is.) According to the scooper, a notice was sent to all book publishers that print J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter novels stating that "they needed to be prepared to print copies of the next HP book by no later than September 8, 2004." The source said that the title for the sixth Potter book was not mentioned in the communication, just that the deadline would be in September and that "the artwork for the covers was going over final approval from the publisher and would be sent in August."
Most people thought September was way to soon and they were right. CBBC Newsround stated that the rumor was all a big lie. Check out the whole artical.

SNL Skit Video |
I'll be sure to record the skit showing on SNL and I will try to have it up about 5 minutes after it shows. Just make sure you have Quicktime to view it, since that's what my videos are saved as.
You'll be the first to view it!
Update: Well, we said we'd be the first, and we are! However, unless you have something faster than dial-up, it will take centuries to view, for it's 69 mb! :( I know, I'll try better next time!
Quicktime [69mb] [5 minutes] Please right click and click Save As. Mind you, SNL is rated TV-14.
Note: You can show the video on your site, just give a little credit. Thanks!

Site Will Be Changing Hosts |
Yes, it's true! We will be changing hosts. But do not fret! Along with a new host, our new site will feature news on which you can finally comment on, and a large gallery! It was being considered before to add a new board to the site, but the current board serves us right just as it is now. We even have a new Top Site List for the Black Forest, where teh buttons are actually now numbered (top 30, that is). You don't have to wait for this feature, you can join now. Just join at: http://www.blackforests.com/topsites/index.php New Ecard Feature, too. And what's a new host change without a new layout? Keep your eyes out for that! ;)
Job Needed: Picture Gallery Keeper - This person will add and maintain the image gallery. It is now a new feature that is 100 times easier to keep up, no knowledge of HTML is needed. Sign up here.

Harry Potter Movies Much Scarier Than Books |
Parents needed to take care in letting their children watch the Harry Potter movies because advances in film technology and special effects made them a lot scarier than the best-selling books, an American academic has warned.
This whole article is huge, so to read the whole thing go to death-curse.com

Harry Potter party to go on |
According to the Dallas Morning News, a school will go ahead with their plans to hold a Harry Potter-related reading party for students on May 7, 2004. This follows a recent denial of a restraining order against the school to stop the party based on the assertion that it would be related to or promote the Wicca religion. Although the restraining order has been denied, no decision has yet been made as to whether or not a Harry Potter-related reading party is a promotion of religion (Wicca), but the school and its librarian (sponsor of the event) say that it's merely a promotion of children reading. You can read more here (registration required).
